Amritsar, May 29 (IANS). Corona virus cases are increasing once again in the country. Meanwhile, the civil surgeon in Amritsar, Punjab said that so far no patient of this disease has been found here.
Civil surgeon of Amritsar Dr. Kirandeep Kaur told IANS that the health administration has completed all the necessary preparations to deal with Corona. Isolation wards have been made in Civil Hospital and Medical College and adequate quantity of vaccines and medicines are available.
He said that at present there are more than 1,000 active Corona patients across the country, of which most cases are coming out from Kerala. In Punjab too, cases of Korona have been found in Ferozepur and Chandigarh and reports of the death of a patient in Chandigarh. However, the situation in Amritsar is under control.
He said that recently three-four suspected patients were investigated, but all of the tests came to negative.
The civil surgeon has appealed to the people of Amritsar not to panic and take precautions.
He advised that if someone feels symptoms like sore throat, headache, or difficulty in breathing, they should go to the nearest hospital and get a free corona test. Free treatment facility is available if found positive.
He also said that after returning from crowded places, it is necessary to wash hands thoroughly and keep the surrounding environment clean.
Dr. Kaur informed that no advisory has been issued by the Punjab government for special investigation of passengers at Amritsar International Airport. However, the health administration has prepared teams, and as soon as any guidelines are available, investigation will be started.
He advised to avoid rumors and said that any suspicious case will be investigated immediately. The district administration and health department of Amritsar are fully cautious. The civil surgeon assured that his teams are ready to deal with any situation.
He appealed to the citizens to take care and take care of cleanliness to prevent the spread of Corona.
