Nowadays, most people walk to stay fit. This is a good way to lose weight. However, many times walking does not provide as much benefit as it should. There could be many reasons behind this. Many times, we commit such mistakes while walking that neither our weight reduces nor we get full benefits. The reason for this could be your mistakes made during the walk. Due to which instead of profit you have to suffer loss.
People make these mistakes while walking
Speed of walk- If you walk daily and your pace is not right then you will not get full benefit from it. That is, if you do not walk at the right pace then it does not provide as many health benefits as it should. To lose weight, you should especially walk at 6 kilometers per hour.
Movement of hands- Movement of both your hands is also very important while walking. If you keep your hands steady then there will be no benefit in walking. When walking, you have to walk with both your hands at a fast pace in the right direction. This creates vibrations in the entire body and your entire body becomes active. It helps in weight loss.
Water during walk- People drink water before the walk. This may cause you loss instead of profit. Drinking more water before a walk speeds up metabolism. In such a situation, the balance of water and salt starts deteriorating. Therefore, do not drink water before and immediately after the walk. There should be a gap of 20-25 minutes between the two.
Wrong posture- Some people’s posture is not good while walking. Due to which instead of profit one has to suffer more loss. If you walk with your neck bent forward, it can increase pain in the entire body including the shoulders. If you walk while texting or watching or talking on a mobile phone, it will also cause harm. Walking straight in the right manner will be beneficial.
Rest and sleep- If you are not getting enough sleep then go for a walk. Or if you are not taking rest then you will not get the full benefit of the walk. Even in between walks, you should not walk for a few days i.e. 1-2 days to give rest to the muscles. Along with walking, it is also important for you to get enough sleep and relax your body.
