The worst foods for kidney health
Kidney is a very important part of our body. It removes the waste from the body, maintains a healthy balance of water, salt and minerals and controls blood pressure by producing the necessary hormones. However, these days the kidney has started getting sick due to changing lifestyle. The wrong catering habits and the deteriorating lifestyle have been the risk of kidney disease nowadays. If you want to keep your kidney healthy, then consume these foods at least or not.
Eat these things at least or not equal:
Excess salt: Excessive intake of sodium is a main cause of high blood pressure, and it puts severe pressure on the kidney over time. According to WHO, most Indians eat more than 5 grams of salt per day. Especially through pickle, papad, packaged snacks and even regular food made at home. Herbs and spices such as cumin, coriander, ginger, lemon juice, garlic and even rock salt (restrained quantity) and spices can enhance the taste without excess of sodium.
Processed and packaged foods: Instant noodles, chips, frozen snacks and ready-to-eat curry have sodium, preservative and unhealthy fat. They not only increase blood pressure, but consuming more of them can also cause chronic kidney disease. Fresh cooked food made of seasonal vegetables, pulses and whole grains. House snacks such as roasted gram, poha chivda or baked makhane taste without harm.
Red meat: Red meat contains too much protein but it does not mean that you consume it daily. Continuous intake of it increases the production of waste products such as urea and creatinine. To eliminate them, the kidney has to work more hard, which can spoil the health of the kidney in a long time. Instead, you can use moong dal, rajma, gram, cheese, tofu or curd.
Using too much dairy products: Dairy is a good source of calcium and protein, but its excessive intake increases calcium levels which can cause kidney stones in the body. Instead, you are also a great option for low -fat yogurt, toned milk calcium, spinach and ragi.
