New Delhi, 29 June (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred to the ‘World Health Organization’ and ‘International Labor Organization appreciated by the’ World Health Organization ‘and’ International Labor Organization during the 123rd episode of Mann Ki Baat. He told about the disease in the eyes and said that now India has become a ‘trachoma -free country’.
PM Modi said during Mann Ki Baat, “I want to tell you about the two such achievements of the country, which will fill you with pride. Global institutions are discussing these achievements. WHO i.e. ‘World Health Organization’ and ‘ILO’ means International Labor Organization has appreciated these achievements of the country. Hearing about this disease was spread by bacteria, when this disease was common in many parts of the country, this disease did not go to the eyes.
He said, “We vowed that we will eliminate the trachoma from the root and I am very happy to tell you that the ‘World Health Organization’ i.e. WHO has declared India as ‘Trachoma Free’. Now India has become a trachoma -free country. It is the fruit of millions of people who fought without tired, without stopping, fighting this disease. This success has been helped by our health workers. Jeevan Mission ‘has also contributed to this success. “
The Prime Minister further said, “Today, when clean water is reaching from house to house, the risk of such diseases has come down. ‘World Health Organization’ WHO has also appreciated that India has covered the disease as well as overcome its root causes.”
PM Modi also spoke about the recent report of the International Labor Organization in Mann Ki Baat. He said, “Today most of the population in India is taking advantage of some social security benefits and recently a very important report of the International Labor Organization- ILO has come. This report said that more than 64 percent of India’s population is now getting some social security benefits. Social security benefits- Social security- It is one of the biggest coverage of the world, while about 95 crore people of the world are getting the benefit of some social security schemes. Government schemes could reach less than crores of people. “
He said, “From health to social security in India, the country is moving ahead with a sense of perfection in every field. This is also a good picture of social justice. These successes have aroused a belief that the time will be better. India will be even stronger at every step.”
