New Delhi, 24 June (IANS). Drinking turmeric milk before bedtime is very beneficial for the body. This is a gift of Ayurveda that benefits both your body and mind. Turmeric milk is no less than a boon for the immune system!
Turmeric has been considered a great medicine in the Charaka Samhita itself. It has been called ‘Haridra’ in Ayurveda. Turmeric is known to cure skin diseases, inflammation and toxic elements. It contains an element called curcumin which reduces inflammation in the body, helps in fighting diseases and acts like an antioxidant. On the other hand, milk is considered to increase the basic strength of the body in Ayurveda. When these two meet, they bring Tridosha i.e. Vata, Pitta, Kapha in balance.
If you are troubled by the complaint of not sleeping, then turmeric milk can be a panacea for you. The amino acid called the triptoffan present in it calms the brain and helps to bring deep sleep. It also strengthens the immune system. Not only this, turmeric milk gives relief in common diseases like cold, cold, cough, sore throat.
The properties that reduce inflammation of calcium and turmeric from milk together give strength to bones and joints, especially in arthritis or back pain.
In addition, it is also very beneficial in skin problems such as pimples, itching or boils because turmeric purifies the blood.

Now the question comes when to drink it?
The best time to drink it in Charak Samhita is about 30 minutes before going to bed at night. Keep in mind that do not drink turmeric milk on an empty stomach. Eat it after eating. Drinking turmeric milk after yoga or pranayama is very beneficial.
