New Delhi, 14 May (IANS). According to a recent new research, people who suffer from type 1 diabetes in adulthood increase the risk of heart disease and death.
Research is based on the dangers of early diabetes (type 1) in adults. Researchers wanted to check the risk of heart disease and death among diabetic affected people. Especially after the age of 40, those who have been treated with diabetes. According to researchers at the Carolinska Institute in Sweden, “Those who were treated after 40 years are not better than people treated before 40. It described smoking, poor glucose control and obesity as the main factor of risk.”
The study published in the European Heart Journal identified 10,184 people suffering from type 1 diabetes in adulthood between 2001 and 2020 and compared them to the control group with 509,172 matches. The study shows that these people with type 1 diabetes in adulthood were more at risk of heart disease and death for all reasons, including cancer and infection than control groups.
Postdorter Fellow Yuksia Wei at the Environmental Medical Institute of Karolinska Institute said that even after treatment, the main causes of poor health are smoking, overweight/obesity and blood sugar not to have correct control. Wei further said, “We found that such people used to reduce the use of accessories like insulin pump.”
Researchers will still discover why type 1 diabetes occurs when growing up. They will also see what causes the risk of this disease grow and what effect it affects the small blood vessels of the body. In addition, they will also find out what is the best cure for type 1 diabetes in adults. It also requires detection of insulin pump use and effects of other advanced techniques.
Research at the risk of type 1 diabetes in adults was nurtured by the Swedish Research Council and the Swedish Diabetes Foundation. Researchers say that they do not have any personal selfishness to any company or individual.
Researchers said that the results of research make it clear that type 1 diabetes is a serious disease, even though it starts in life later.
