Barabanki, 25 November (IANS). Many welfare schemes have been brought by the Narendra Modi government at the Center keeping the common people in mind. Ayushman Bharat Yojana is one of the ambitious schemes of PM Modi, now recently all the elderly above 70 years of age have been added to it. Even in Barabanki district of UP, people are not untouched by this scheme.
Under ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’, making Ayushman cards for senior citizens aged 70 years and above has started in Barabanki district. Following the instructions of the government, the health department is making Ayushman cards of the people by organizing special camps. The total number of people covered under Ayushman Yojana in Barabanki is around 5 lakh. According to Aadhaar card, those who are above 70 years of age are eligible for this.
Regarding ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’, CMO Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Yadav said that cards are to be made for all the senior citizens of Barabanki district whose age is more than 70 years. In this sequence, a few days ago the first card in the district was issued to Dilip Kumar. So far, about 1,000 cards have been issued in the entire district. This sequence will continue until cards for all senior citizens above 70 years of age in the district are made. Everyone’s cards will be made by setting up camps at various places.
Varuna Devi, a senior female beneficiary of this scheme, said that the Ayushman card made by PM Modi is a boon for us. I am more than 70 years old, so I can fall ill at any time and the need may arise at any time. Therefore Ayushman card will help us a lot. Many thanks to PM Modi for this scheme.
Dinesh Tandon, a beneficiary of the scheme and a senior citizen, said that the Ayushman card made by the Government of India for the age group above 70 years is a very good initiative. We are no longer capable, have difficulty in walking and may need money for treatment at any time. In such a situation, this Ayushman card is proving to be a boon for us. PM Modi should be praised for this scheme.
