New Delhi, 5 June (IANS). The negligence for a run -of -the -mill life and his own health is like inviting many problems. In such a situation, many problems can be overcome by including some rugs in life. The name of one such posture is Uttanmandukasana. It is beneficial for digestion, lungs and entire body. Along with this, it also makes the muscles strong.
‘Uttan’ means taut and ‘Manduk’ means frog. In the posture of Uttanmandukasana, the body looks directly like a frog. In this posture, the head is held with elbows so that the head does not go backwards and the body remains in a line.
According to the Ministry of AYUSH, Uttanmandukasana not only reduces back pain and cervical discomfort, but also helps in increasing the existing speed of the body. With this, it also increases lung function. Adopting this asana regularly can be very beneficial.
According to Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, practicing Uttanmandukasana regularly provides many benefits. He also explained the method of doing the posture properly.
For this, sit in the posture of Vajrasana (sit on your knees and sit on the ankles) and then take both your hands with elbows and take it behind the back. Hold the left toes with the right hand and hold the right toes with the left hand. Keep the spinal cord straight and look at the front and keep breathing normally. Stay in this situation for 25 to 30 seconds, then gradually return to normal condition.
This makes this spinal cord strong and flexible. Stretching the muscles of the thighs, hips and ankles strengthens them. It calms the mind and helps reduce stress and anxiety. This puts pressure on the abdominal muscles, which improves the digestive system. Not only this, it improves blood circulation in the body.
However, health experts also recommend to take some precautions in doing this. If there is pain in the knees, ankles or back, it should be avoided. Pregnant women should also avoid this posture.
