Lucknow, 26 April (IANS). The Yogi government is working rapidly towards making Uttar Pradesh a trillion dollar economy. Special attention is being paid to various sectors to achieve this goal.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath considers the state a major contribution in making the state a trillion dollar economy. According to him, a healthy society itself lays the foundation of a rich state. Keeping this in mind, a blueprint has been prepared towards making the health sector a strong basis for economic development.
The Chief Minister had recently held a high -level meeting on a trillion dollar economy. He said that if the investment is attracted to the health sector by strategy, then the state can get an economic benefit of about 0.40 lakh crore rupees (GSVA). For this, special attention will have to be paid to two things. The first is to increase the facilities of hospitals and health centers and the second is to further strengthen the government’s schemes.
Three important steps have to be taken to increase the facilities of hospitals and health centers – construction of health and wellness centers, promoting private investment in construction of hospitals for secondary care and focus on digital technology and telemedicine. With this, the state can get an economic benefit of about 0.39 lakh crore rupees (GSVA).
At the meeting, officials told CM Yogi that investment in the construction of new health and wellness centers in the private sector is being given priority to strengthen primary health services and attract doctors and experts. Under this, places have been identified for the establishment of 5,000 new health and wellness centers using PM Spachakti portal and GIS. Through these centers, access to rural and remote areas will be ensured to first aid services.
At the same time, the Yogi government has approved the policy of encouraging private sector investment under PPP model for secondary care hospitals, which will increase GSVA. Along with this, steps have been taken to empower policies and plans to promote digital technology and telemedicine. In such a situation, Telemedicin Hub model is being adopted to technically empower healthcare distribution.
The Yogi government is emphasizing on further strengthening the government’s schemes to make the state a trillion dollar economy. With this, the state can get an economic benefit of about 0.01 lakh crore rupees (GSVA). Currently, 43 percent of the state’s population is taking advantage of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which is planned to be increased to 63 percent. For this, data containing ration cards is being linked to health schemes.
At the same time, 11 medical colleges are being prepared for research to promote pharma research and health data, where medicines will be tried. Also, technology like artificial intelligence and machine learning is being adopted to use health data properly.
Also, the Yogi government is preparing rules and grading systems for them to increase the quality of private hospitals. AI based health analytics ecosystem is also being strengthened. An advisory board has been formed to prepare rules and grading systems at the state level to increase the quality of service in private hospitals.
