New Delhi, March 27 (IANS). Today, every other person has become so dependent on technology that he is getting away from physical activities. In such a situation, people have to face mental problems along with the body. Physicians usually motivate people to walk, but regret, people prefer vehicles to go a little distance.
Dr. C.K. Dr. Tushar Tayal of Birla Hospital told IANS what kind of health benefits could be from walking. He says that people who do not have a habit of walking, should make a habit of walking at least 30 minutes daily. This will not only benefit physical, but also mental benefits.
Doctors say that walking daily will relieve heart problems. It will strengthen the heart as well as control blood pressure.
Walking regularly will also control weight, because such a situation is usually seen that overweight causes other problems. In such a situation, there is no other problem in your body, for this it becomes mandatory to walk regularly. It has also been confirmed medical point of view that walking is controlled by walking.
Dr. Tayal said that walking is helpful in controlling blood sugar, which reduces the risk of type-2 diabetes. It helps reduce problems such as osteoporosis and arthritis.
He said that walking daily also strengthens immunity, which makes you face to face other diseases firmly, because it is usually seen that people with weak immunity easily get any disease.
Now many times there is a question in the minds of people how much any person should walk in a day. According to Dr. Tayal, it becomes necessary for any person to walk for 30 minutes daily. This will benefit his body as well as mental state. Also, if someone is troubled by his growing weight, then it becomes necessary for him to walk for at least 40 to 50 minutes a day. This will benefit him a lot.
Walking is a bigger connection than a person’s age. Doctors say that it is beneficial to walk at least 60 minutes or other physical activity to children and teenagers (6–18 years). Adults (18–50 years) are considered ideal to walk 7,000 to 10,000 daily. Senior citizens (more than 50 years) should walk 5,000 to 7,000 steps daily or about 30-45 minutes in mild moves.
Walking has many health benefits. This reduces stress. Endorphin (Happiness hormone) is released, which improves the mood. This increases blood circulation in the brain, which improves memory and concentration.
Along with this, if compared to running and walking, there are many differences between the two. According to Dr. Tayal, running burn more calories than walking, which increases weight loss. Walking puts less pressure on joints, while running leads to more weight on the knees and ankles.
