Therefore, it is important to keep the lungs healthy, there are different types of yoga asanas and each of them has their own benefits. There are some yoga asanas which are beneficial for your lungs. Here are some yoga postures that can help improve the capacity of the lungs.


Tadasana: Tadasana is also known as mountain posture, this posture opens the chest and allows the lungs to spread completely. It also helps to focus your attention on your breath, which is the first step to improve your ability to breathe.



Bhujangasana: Bhujangasana is also known as Cobra Mudra, this posture spreads to the chest and lungs, which helps to clean the airways and improve respiratory activity. This strengthens the diaphragm and increases the elasticity of the lungs.



Dhanurasana: Dhanurasana is also known as Dhanush Mudra, this posture opens the chest and chest, which helps in the expansion of the lungs. It also strengthens the back muscles and improves posture, which improves breathing.



Ustrasana: Camel is also known as currency, this posture is good for expansion of the lungs and opening the chest and rib cage. It increases oxygen intake and increases the flexibility of the lungs.



Setu Bandhasana: Also known as Bridge Pose, it raises the backband chest and strengthens the lungs. It stimulates thyroid and lungs, improves the flow and respiratory control of oxygen.



Ardh Matsyendrasana: Also known as a seated spinal twist, this posture helps to relieve stress in the chest and improve the dynamics of the ribs, which helps in taking deep breathing.



Anulom Antonym: Anulom Antonym Pranayama improves the functionality of the lungs, increases oxygen absorption and calms the nervous system.
