Medinipur, March 19 (IANS). Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened in Medinipur, West Bengal under the ‘Prime Minister Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project’. Medicines are being provided at these centers at cheap rates compared to the market. People who are buying medicines from here have thanked PM Modi and demanded that Jan Aushadhi stores should be opened in other places in West Bengal. So that more and more people can buy medicines at cheap rates.
The operator of Jan Aushadhi Store in Medinipur said that medicines are good at Jan Aushadhi Kendra. In Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, AIIMS and other places, doctors of large hospitals also recommend public medicines and say that they are effective and good quality. A large number of people are coming to buy medicines at this store. People believe that generic medicines of mass medicine are very effective. An elderly man, who was purchasing medicine from here, told that here he has been buying medicine for four years. These medicines are proving to be very effective. A lot of money is being saved by getting medicines at cheap rates. Which we use in other things. Earlier, very expensive medicines had to be purchased at private medical stores. This scheme is a boon for the poor. Therefore, I will urge PM Modi that more stores of Jan Aushadhi Kendra should be opened under the ‘Prime Minister Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project’, so that more and more people can get benefits.
It is to be known that the purpose of ‘Prime Minister Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Project’ is to provide quality generic medicines to everyone at affordable prices. One of its primary goals is to educate the public about the benefits of generic drugs, emphasizing that being cheap is not a compromise on quality. The purpose of this initiative is to remove the misconception that high prices indicate better quality. The scheme aims to motivate health professionals, especially professionals working in government hospitals, to write alternatives to generic drugs, promoting cost -effective treatment options. Different therapeutic categories have to provide a wide range of commonly used generic drugs to ensure that the essential health care products are available for all, especially to the deprived people.
