Dr. Karuna Chaturvedi said that both Chia and linseed seeds are superfoods which are rich in many nutrients. Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, while linseed seeds are rich in alpha-linolenic acid (Ala). Both have their own different benefits.

They should be included in the diet according to the needs of your body. Both seeds help to keep the heart healthy, strengthen the digestive system and control weight. At the same time, if you talk about the disadvantages, then consuming both of them can cause digestive problems like gas and flatulence.

How much food is appropriate daily?

The expert said that it would be appropriate to eat 1 tbsp (15-30 grams) chia or flax seeds daily. It is best to eat them by soaking them in water or curd, or you can also add them to salads, smoothies or baked things. They should be soaked overnight and eat the next morning. It is necessary to soak both seeds for a few hours before eating.

Which is more beneficial for weight loss?

Experts say that chia seeds contain high fiber amounts, which helps in controlling hunger and weight loss. Linseed seeds also help in weight control, but they contain slightly less fiber than chia seeds. Both can help in weight loss, but chia seeds contain a little more fiber, which makes them more beneficial for weight loss.
