Symptoms of increasing glasses number
Nowadays, the problem of wearing glasses in young children is increasing rapidly. Earlier, wearing glasses used to be seen with aging, now even small children are seen applying thick lens glasses. There are many reasons behind this, including increasing screening of screen, unbalanced catering and lack of external activities.
The main reasons for children to get glasses at an early age:
Excessive use of screen: Nowadays children are more use of mobile, laptop and TV. The blue light emanating from the screen damages the eyes and makes the eye vision weak. Watching online class, gaming and video throughout the day increases the pressure on the eyes, causing the need of glasses to fall quickly.
Lack of playing outside: Earlier children used to play in open grounds most of the time, giving their eyes natural light and open environment. But now most of the children live indoors and are engaged on the screen, which weakens the muscles of the eyes.
Poor catering: Nutrients like vitamins A, C and E are required for eye health. Consuming green vegetables, carrots, tomatoes, oranges and nuts is beneficial for the eyes. But nowadays children’s food has become more dependent on junk food and fried foods, which makes their eyesight weakened.
Wrong ways of studies: Reading in low light, sitting in wrong posture and keeping books very close to the eyes also affects the eyes.
Measures to remove glasses and increase eyesight:
Reduce screen time: Try to keep children away from mobile and laptop. If it is necessary to use the screen for studies, then adopt 20-20-20 rules. That is, after every 20 minutes, for 20 seconds, see 20 feet away.
Motivate to play outside: Eye health persists by spending time in natural light and lush green environment. Send children to play out for at least 1 hour daily.
Give a balanced diet: Give children a diet rich in nutrients like carrots, spinach, tomato, sweet potato, almonds and walnuts. Also, protect from eating more sweet and junk food.
Get the eyes exercised: To keep the eyes healthy, do some easy exercises daily, such as focusing on your fingers and taking them slowly and taking them away. To rotate the eyes round. Massage eyes with light hands.
Enough sleep required: Let children get 8-10 hours of deep sleep daily. Good sleep reduces the fatigue of the eyes and keeps the vision better.
