This vaccine not only stopped cancer cells from growing but also showed the ability to prevent them from reaching the metastasis level. Russia is also making personalized cancer vaccines with the help of AI.
Lakhs of people are losing their lives every year
It is noteworthy that WHO had recently said that in the year 2022, 2 crore new cancer patients were found worldwide. At the same time, 97 lakh patients had lost their lives, that is, one out of every five people is getting cancer in his life. In such a situation, this vaccine is considered to be the biggest discovery of the century.

Talking about India alone, 14.13 lakh new cases of cancer were reported in 2022. The largest number of these were women. In 2022, 7.22 lakh women were diagnosed with cancer, while 6.91 lakh men were diagnosed with cancer. 9.13 lakh patients in the country had lost their lives due to this disease. At the same time, according to the report of the National Cancer Registry Programme, 23.68 lakh citizens of the country have lost their lives due to cancer in the last year, while 42 lakh new patients have been found.
An ICMR report estimates that the number of cancer patients in the country will increase by 12 percent in 5 years, but the biggest challenge is those getting cancer at a young age. According to a research published in Nature Journal, the biggest reason for getting cancer at an early age is today’s lifestyle. Most cancers in the country are found in breast, mouth, uterus and lungs.
