Vasai, December 20 (IANS). The free medical services provided under the Ayushman Bharat scheme saved a woman’s life. Bypass surgery, neurological surgery, orthopedic surgery, and other medical treatments are provided completely free of cost to Ayushman Bharat card holders at Platinum Hospital in Vasai. More than 30 patients were treated free of cost in this hospital in a year.
Card holders of Ayushman Bharat Yojana are given completely free treatment facilities in this hospital. Medical treatments ranging from bypass surgery to neurological surgery, orthopedic surgery and more are also provided to cardholders at no charge. Ayushman Bharat Yojana aims to provide high quality medical services to the poor and needy people. Under this scheme, people who have Ayushman card get free treatment in thousands of hospitals across the country.
Amita Parab, who underwent bypass surgery at Platinum Hospital, told IANS, I was ill and when I went to the doctor for treatment, the doctor said that an operation would have to be done. After this, my operation was done through Ayushman card and now I am absolutely fine.
The woman’s husband Arvind Parab told that his wife Ambika was suffering from chest pain and discomfort for some time, so I went to the doctor and took the report. Blockage was found in the report. After this I went to the hospital under the Ayushman scheme and got the operation done there. The operation was successful and now his health is fine. I am very grateful to the government for this scheme.
Hemant Patade, Project Manager of Platinum Hospital, said that I want to give a message to the Ayushman card holders that the treatment of the card holders under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Platinum Hospital Vasai is completely free. Here bypass surgery, urology surgery, orthopedic surgery and other medical treatments are all absolutely free. I request everyone to get Ayushman card made as soon as possible so that they can avail the benefit of free treatment. Hemant Patade further said that we have treated about 32 patients for free in the last one year. Not a single penny has been taken from all of them. The patients admitted to the hospital have come from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and other states.
