Jaisalmer, 17 June (IANS). An inspirational picture from the India-Pakistan border has surfaced before the 10th International Yoga Day. BSF jawans, who are posted on the scorching sand of Rajasthan, have made Yoga and Pranayama a part of their lives amid difficult conditions. On Tuesday, BSF jawans started yoga near the border in Jaisalmer and gave a special message before International Yoga Day.
BSF jawans are doing regular yoga exercises for mental peace and physical energy. These soldiers do pranayama and yoga daily before duty. The soldiers believe that yoga is not only limited to rugs, but it is an art of living life.
The soldiers have also given a message to the countrymen that every Indian should adopt yoga. He says, “Yoga is not just a body, but a medium to connect the mind and soul. Yoga gives the power to remain a quiet mind even in the odd situation.”
The whole of World Yoga Day will be celebrated on 21 June. This year the theme of International Yoga Day is “Ek Earth, Yoga for A Health”, while the International Yoga Day program is named ‘Yoga Sangam 2025’, which is going to be a historical achievement.
More than 50 thousand organizations have registered for the event, which is a new record of collective participation. Rajasthan has been at the forefront of organizing the Yoga Sangam 2025, where more than 11 thousand organizations registered. More than 7000 organizations in Telangana and about 5000 in Madhya Pradesh registered their participation.
The national program will be held on 21 June in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will do yoga with more than 5 lakh participants. According to Union AYUSH Minister Prataprao Jadhav, ‘Yoga Sangam’ sessions will be held in more than one lakh places across the country. The event will be one of the largest and simultaneous yoga programs.
