Rishikesh, 21 June (IANS). Yoga Day was organized in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. In this, Ambassador, High Commissioner, diplomat and high officials of 25 countries performed yoga on the banks of the Ganges. Parmarth Niketan organized it. Swami Chidanand Swamy, the head of the spiritual institute, described it as a matter of joy and pride. The spiritual guru also considered the election of the subject to be important.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati said that the domination of yoga is increasing all over the world. He also gave the mantra of ‘Yoga Kar Nirog Stay’.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati said, “The charisma of yoga is amazing and it continues to grow. The torch of yoga is moving forward. This time new records are being made. The ambassador, High Commissioner, diplomat and high officer of 25 countries on the holy bank of the Ganges in Parmarth Niketan did yoga.”
The spiritual guru also considered the theme to be very important. He said, “The land of Uttarakhand is the land of restraint, confluence, connecting and connecting. The Ganges contains all the rivers, this work also does yoga, it also adds everyone. The theme of this time is the theme of International Yoga Day ‘One Earth Forest Health’. It means we have only one earth and it will remain healthy only when we will remain healthy.”
Let me tell you, on June 21, the Dhami government has implemented Uttarakhand Yoga Policy 2025. Under this, the target is to set up at least five new yoga hubs in Uttarakhand by 2030. Yoga hubs will be installed in Jageshwar, Mukteshwar, Vyas Valley, Tehri Lake and Kolidhek Lake region. Announcing this, the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “We will set up 5 new yoga hubs in the state by the year 2030, while by March 2026, we will also ensure availability of yoga services in all AYUSH, Health and Wellness Centers of the state by March 2026.”
It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed to declare June 21 on 21 June as International Yoga Day at the United Nations General Assembly on 27 September 2014. The proposal was passed on 11 December 2014, after which this day is celebrated every year as a great -sesta of yoga worldwide since 2015.
