A passenger has been arrested for smuggling gold at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Officials have said that a huge amount of gold has been recovered from the accused. The gold was recovered from the accused on 7 November 2024.
The accused had come from Dubai
In this case, officials have informed that the accused had come from Dubai and he had brought gold hidden in his rectum. 3 oval shaped capsules have been recovered from the accused.
About 1124 grams of gold has been recovered from the accused. The accused has been arrested under Customs Act 1962. Many times such incidents come to light from Gulf countries in which the accused try to smuggle gold.
