Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also expressed mourning

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy expressed deep grief over the tragic fire accident near Gulzar House in the old city of Hyderabad on Sunday. The Chief Minister spoke to Minister Poonam Prabhakar over the phone about the incident and ordered to intensify rescue work. According to Telangana Agni Disaster Response Emergency and Civil Defense, a total of 17 people died in a fire incident in a building of Gulzar House near Charminar in Hyderabad on Sunday morning.

Telangana Disaster Response and Director General of Fire Service, Y Nagi Reddy said, “The fire of fire occurred in the residential complex in Krishna Pearls and Gulzar House area. The fire department received a call at 6:16 am and by 6:17 am, 11 fire engines were sent with enough employees. The fire departments were used by the fire operator and oxygen masks to save the people. It shows that the reason for this was a short circuit. “

The fire officer said, “There was no shortage from the fire department in extinguishing the fire and saving people. The building had a two meter entrance like a tunnel. There was only one meter ladder to reach the first and second floor. This is only a meter ladder. This made the rescue and rescue operation very difficult. The fire was very difficult by 9 am. The fire was controlled by 9 am. A total of 21 people inside the building were there; No one has to be wounded;

Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the fire department vehicles immediately reached the spot as soon as the fire was reported.

Talking to the media persons, Prabhakar said, “The fire started around 6 am and the fire department of the Telangana government was present on the spot till 6:16 am. They tried to save everyone. But the fire had spread on a large scale. Most of the people inside the building have died. The Chief Minister has talked to the family (who was living in the building in which the fire was in which the fire). The state government will support the family.”

He further stated that intensive reviews would be done to ensure fire security in future. He said, “We will do intensive reviews to ensure fire safety and to avoid any such incident in future. The public will also have to support the fire department in it.”

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Chairman KT Rama Rao also expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured to get well soon.

In a post on X, Rao wrote that the BRS team will be available for any help.

The post reads, “I am extremely shocked and sad !! The details that are coming out from the Gulzar House Agni tragedy in the old city are very sad. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the tragedy. I wish the injured to get well soon. I hope and pray that this fire will be controlled soon. BRS team will be available for any need.”
