Many schools in Delhi had to be evacuated on Monday after receiving an email threatening bomb blasts. These include DPS Dwarka, Modern Convent School and Sriram World School (Sector-10, Dwarka). The threat was sent through Gmail and suspects that all mails have been sent by the same person. The police and cyber cell are trying to find the email sender. So far no suspicious item has been found in any school.
Delhi schools threatened for fourth time
This incident is for the fourth time in the last one month when schools in Delhi have received such threats. Last month, Bomb -threatened mails were also sent to St. Thomas School, Vasant Valley, Richmond Global School, Mother’s International and Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, which later turned out to be false. A 12 -year -old child was arrested in that case, who sent threatened emails to a school and college associated with Delhi University.
Threat to bomb more than 200 schools
In May 2024 last year, more than 200 schools were threatened with bombing. Not only this, such mails were also sent to hospitals, colleges and Delhi Airport. These frequent incidents have brought the Delhi Police and the administration on high alert, while the officials are engaged in investigating the network behind the threats received repeatedly.
