Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav said that the security forces were on a search operation to hold the hold on the terrorists. As soon as they reached the forest on the Bijapur-Dantewada border, the Naxalites present there started firing on them. In response, security forces also opened fire. At present, firing continues in the area. Search operations are being conducted by security forces. The joint team of DRG, STF and CRPF has carried out this operation.
Earlier in January this year, 4 Naxalites were killed by security forces in the forests of Abujhmad in Chhattisgarh. The slain Naxalites found dangerous weapons like AK-47 and SLR. All Naxalites were wearing uniforms. A DRG soldier was also killed in this encounter. Let us tell you that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken the initiative to liberate the country from Naxal problem by the year 2026. He has given free hand to security forces under the anti -Naxal campaign. As a result of this, the security forces are carrying out a large Naxalite encounter one after the other. At the same time, many Naxalites have surrendered by laying weapons. The government is also trying to connect them with the mainstream.
