Amid the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the sound of three-four loud blasts was heard in Amritsar late in the night, causing people to get fears and rumors. The district administration and police confirmed the blackout at night, but the real reason for the blasts is not yet clear.

Late night buzz, panic spread among people

The voices of loud blasts were heard in Amritsar between 1:15 am to 1:20 pm on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, there was a loud sound three to four times, which was heard far and wide. People came out of their homes in fear.

However, the administration has immediately denied any terrorist attack or accident. It is being speculated that these voices may be of the sonic boom of fighter jets.

Police commissioner gave information

Police Commissioner Gurpreet Bhullar confirmed the sound of the blasts himself and told,

“I have also heard the voice. We got an inquiry but did not find some suspects. Blackout was done in the city as a precaution.”

After this statement, the citizens definitely got some relief, but the real reason for the blasts has not been revealed yet.
