After being released from jail, Masood Azhar once again set up his organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Since then, he has been continuously carrying out nefarious activities against India. Masood Azhar was involved in the attack on the Indian Parliament, the attack in Mumbai and the attack on the Pathankot airbase. Mushtaq Zargar was one of the three terrorists released after the Kandahar hijack. Mushtaq Zargar is still involved in carrying out terrorist activities against India. Mushtaq Zargar was arrested on 15 May 1992. However, he had to be released along with Masood Azhar and Sheikh Umar during the Kandahar hijack. After being released, Mushtaq Zargar is working as a Kashmiri terrorist commander. Apart from this, he is running a terrorist organization in Pakistan to spread unrest in Jammu and Kashmir. Zargar is still in contact with Jaish-e-Mohammed and it plays an important role in actively carrying out terrorist incidents in Kashmir. Mushtaq Zargar has also recruited people for many terrorist groups in the valley. Even today, Mushtaq Zargar is working against India while living in Pakistan.

Omar Sheikh also had to be released after the Kandahar hijacking incident in 1999. Omar Sheikh’s full name is Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. He is a British terrorist of Pakistani origin. Omar Sheikh kidnapped Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl in Pakistan in 2002 and got him killed. After this, the court also sentenced Omar Sheikh to death, but years later, the Sindh High Court has now freed him from the death penalty. Even today, Omar Sheikh is said to be alive. It is also claimed that Omar Sheikh is in Pakistan.
