300 Indian workers trapped in a Saudi Arabian company finally returned to their homeland. The visa of these workers was over a year ago, after which neither they were getting salary nor getting a new visa. There was no way to return to the country. Only by the company was given two -time meal and a place to live on behalf of the company. Now with the help of Pravasi Help Foundation and Indian Embassy, these Indians were finally able to return their homes.
Even after the visa of these workers, the visa was not renewed by the company. Only their work was being done, in return, the salary was not being received. After the end of the visa, these Indian workers were also fined by the Saudi government. Only lentils and rice were being given for food, but there was no hope of returning to his country.
Foundation raised the case
Seeing the situation deteriorating, some workers contacted Pradeep Pandey, National Vice President of Pravasi Help Foundation through social media. The national vice -president immediately took the matter to the organization. The National General Secretary of the Foundation and Vijay Madhesia, a resident of Dashawa, a village panchayat of Barwapatti police station area, raised it on 18 May 2025 before the Indian Embassy Riyadh and the Ministry of External Affairs.
Indian Embassy officials visited camp
The officials of the Indian Embassy went to the camp of laborers trapped in Saudi themselves and took stock of the situation there. As a result of the hard work and initiative of the officials, all the fine was waived and an exit visa was issued to them. After this, all 300 workers were brought home in a phased manner.
