Sites like X are opening very slowly and it has become difficult to send anything other than small messages on WhatsApp. He said that for the first time after the bad days of 2014 and 2019, I feel so disconnected for the first time.

Meanwhile, 31 people have died in a landslide due to heavy rains near the Vaishno Devi temple in Katra. Several major routes such as Jammu-Srinagar and Kishtwar-Doda national highways have been closed and many roads have been damaged by landslides and floods. Many trains visiting Jammu have also been canceled. A devotee from Bihar said that after Vaishno Devi darshan, they are trapped and it has become difficult to return home due to the closure of trains.

The Indian Army ran a high-risk helicopter mission to save citizens and CRPF personnel trapped in flooded building in Madhopur Headworks, Punjab. The army said that all were evacuated safely despite difficult weather and rapid water.
Possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the Jammu region is raining with widespread thunderstorms. There may be heavy rains and hailstorm in Jammu, Samba, Akhnoor, Nagrota, Kathua and Udhampur, while Light to moderate rains continue in Rei, Ramban, Doda, Katra and Banihal. The Meteorological Department also stated that the height of the clouds is reaching 12 kilometers, causing deep and active storms.
Officials said that floods in a remote area of Kishtwar district shed 10 houses and a bridge. At the same time, more than 12 paramilitary personnel were trapped in Lakhanpur village of Kathua district, which the work of evacuating it is going on. The Jhelum river in the valley is flowing above the danger mark in Sangam (Anantnag) and the water level of the river in Srinagar has reached just two feet below the alert level.
