Raghav Chadha questioned the huge increase in the fares of the flight going to Mahakumbh.

A total of 15 crore devotees have taken a dip in the Sangam in 17 days in Prayagraj Mahakumbh, which started 144 years later. At the same time, on the day of Mauni Amavasya on January 29, a huge crowd of devotees is thronging the Mahakumbh Mela area before the second Amrit bath of Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025. Those who are not getting tickets in bus and train, they are reaching Prayagraj by flight to take a dip in the confluence. The number of pilgrims going from Delhi and Mumbai to Prayagraj is steadily increasing, so the airline companies have increased the fare of flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Prayagraj manifold.

‘A joke of faith of devotees’

Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha has expressed displeasure over the huge increase in fares by flight companies during the Mahakumbh Mela. He described it as a joke of the faith of the devotees, as well as appealed to reduce the fare. According to MP Raghav Chadha, Mahakumbh is the biggest festival of faith and spirituality for followers of Sanatan Dharma. In this rare coincidence, when Mahakumbh is being held in Prayagraj after 144 years, millions of devotees wish to reach Prayagraj from the country and abroad for bathing, cultivation and penance. But these flight companies are considering this sacred event as an opportunity to earn unfair advantage.

General fare increased from 5000-8000 to 50000-60000

Raghav Chadha said, “The arbitrariness and profiteering of flight companies has increased the troubles of the devotees. On the increase in normal fares of flights, he said that the tickets which used to get Rs 5000-8000 earlier, now its price has reached Rs 50000-60000.

‘Devotees are getting disappointed’

The AAP MP said that millions of devotees who want to go to Kumbh are being disappointed due to more fare. These companies are not curing with the devotees in the affair of their benefits. He appealed to the devotees to reduce the fare. At the same time, Raghav Chadha earlier recalled the issue raised about expensive food at the airport. On this, he said that our voice had reached the government regarding cheap food. After which the government started the affordable canteen for the passengers. He said that this time I also expect the government that devotees will be given cheap flight facilities.
