Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on 16 May on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of State Day expressed gratitude to all those who sent best wishes and said that the festival is a reflection of shared identity and collective pride.
The Chief Minister also said that the love and support of the people of Sikkim has really made this festival special.
Tamang said on ‘Facebook’, “On behalf of the people of Sikkim, I express my heartfelt gratitude to all our honorable leaders, friends and well -wishers who gave good wishes and congratulations on the occasion of our Golden Jubilee, ie 50 glorious years of the state.”
Sikkim celebrated his 50th State Day on Friday. Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Tamang congratulated the people of the state on the occasion. A tricolor rally was taken out from MG Marg to Paljor Stadium under the leadership of the Chief Minister.
