New Delhi. In Jhalawar, Rajasthan, 7 children died and more than 20 were said to be injured due to falling roof of a government school. The accident happened when classes were going on in school. The roof of the first school collapsed and after that the wall also collapsed. After the accident, there was a scream in the school. Children, teachers and school staff were buried under the rubble. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has ordered an inquiry into the incident. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.

PM Narendra Modi has termed the accident as extremely tragic. PM Modi said, my condolences in this difficult time are with the accident affected students and their families. I wish the injured to get well soon. Officers are providing all possible assistance to the injured in this accident. This is the incident of the Government Higher Primary School located in Piplodi village of Manorathana block of Jhalawar district. As soon as the accident came to know about the accident, the local people first reached the spot and started the work of evacuating the children from the rubble.

The children who are injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The state government has ordered an inquiry into why the roof of the school fell?
