The 71st National Film Award was announced on 1 August 2025. In this, Shah Rukh Khan won the National Award for Best Actor for the Jawan film for the first time and he shared this honor with Vikrant Masi for his brilliant performance in 12th failure.
Rani Mukherjee was voted the best actress for her strong performance at Mrs. Chatterjee Verses Norway. The film is based on a real custody controversy. 12th Fail, Jawan, and Mrs. Chatterjee Versace Norway was counted among the most influential Hindi films of 2023.
