A shocking news has come out from Kalyan Singhpur area of Raigada district of Odisha. A case of a minor student studying in 7th grade has come to light. As soon as the information of this incident is received, there has been a stir in the entire area and there is anger and concern among the people.

After the incident came to light, the Child Welfare Committee of Raigada district has immediately started an investigation into the matter in depth. Committee officials, who are responsible for the safety and welfare of children, have gathered many important information while interrogating the student. During the investigation, it was revealed that a minor boy from Raigada Sadar block was involved in this case. Now, the administration has further intensified the investigation, so that it can be ascertained how all this happened?

This case raises questions not just a child, but the whole system how weak the safety of children in schools and hostels. The incident is reminiscent of another incident in February, when a 10th grade student gave birth to a child in a government hostel in Malkangiri district. At that time, the student returned to the hostel after taking the board examination and there was a pain of childbirth.

Both mother and child were later admitted to the sub-district hospital of Chitrakonda and then the District Headquarters Hospital, Malkangiri.
