New Delhi. Rajasthan government has abolished 9 districts and 3 divisions of the state. This decision was taken in the cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. These new districts and divisions were approved during the tenure of the previous Congress government and CM Ashok Gehlot. Now the Bhajanlal government has amended the decision of the earlier government. Actually, Ashok Gehlot’s cabinet had decided to create 17 new districts and 3 new divisions (Sikar, Pali and Banswara), out of which 8 districts were kept as they were, the remaining 9 districts and all three new divisions were considered impractical and they have been cancelled. . In this way, there will now be 41 districts and 7 divisions in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Government Minister Jogaram Patel said that the previous government had approved the formation of 17 new districts, ignoring issues like cultural, behavioural, population etc. The government, in its review, found that the formation of such a large number of new districts was an unnecessary burden on the state’s economy. This was a hasty decision before the code of conduct came into force. While creating new districts, the government neither created new posts nor created new offices. Now BJP has retained 8 of these districts after review.

– Khedthal Tijara
– Salumber

– Gangapurcity

– Anupgarh
– Sanchore
– Jaipur Rural
Other decisions of Bhajanlal cabinet
Under the proposal related to amendment in Rajasthan Subordinate and Clerical Services Rules 2022, now the scores of up to three years will be counted in the CET (Common Eligibility Test) exam, whereas earlier the scores of one year were counted. Apart from this, it has also been decided to add new beneficiaries to the Food Security Scheme.
