New Delhi. Delhi Assembly elections are to be held in February 2025. Earlier, news agency ANI has given big news quoting sources. Sources have told the agency that there may be an alliance between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections. Sources claim that in the distribution of 70 seats in the assembly, Aam Aadmi Party can give 15 seats to Congress and 1 to 2 seats to other allies of Indian alliance. Aam Aadmi Party will contest the remaining seats of Delhi Assembly. Earlier, statements of leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress had come that their parties will contest the Delhi Assembly elections on their own.

In 2020, Aam Aadmi Party had won 62 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party is trying to form government in Delhi for the third consecutive time. At the same time, BJP is cornering him to remove him from power. Aam Aadmi Party and Congress had formed an alliance in Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections. Aam Aadmi Party had contested on 4 and Congress on 3 Lok Sabha seats of Delhi, but defeating both, BJP had won all the 7 Lok Sabha seats of Delhi. Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM has also jumped into the Delhi Assembly elections. Owaisi’s party has announced to contest Delhi riot case accused Tahir Hussain from Mustafabad seat. Tahir Hussain has previously been a councilor of Aam Aadmi Party. Earlier on Tuesday, there was news quoting sources that Asaduddin Owaisi’s party can try its luck on 10 to 12 assembly seats in Delhi. After this news, now the news of seat sharing between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress has also come quoting sources.
