New Delhi. Sometimes people do something in excessive happiness that creates trouble for them and they themselves are the reason for that trouble. Something similar happened with Aam Aadmi Party and its workers. Yesterday, firecrackers were burst outside the Chief Minister’s residence in Civil Lines by his supporters in celebration of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s release from Tihar Jail. Now Delhi Police has registered an FIR in this matter. Actually, this FIR has been registered due to a decision of the Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi.

The Delhi government has banned the production, sale and use of firecrackers in Delhi till January 1, 2025 to control air pollution in the upcoming winter season. During this period, online sale and delivery of firecrackers will also be banned. Delhi government minister Gopal Rai announced this order on September 10 itself. However, no one is named in this FIR registered under Section 223 of the Indian Justice Code because Delhi Police has registered this FIR against unknown persons.

At the same time, BJP has targeted Aam Aadmi Party on this issue. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that Aam Aadmi Party repeatedly makes such announcements during Diwali or Hindu festivals. Minister Gopal Rai should take direct cognizance of the way firecrackers were burnt yesterday. He announces that there will be a ban on firecrackers till the beginning of next year and firecrackers were being burnt in front of the Chief Minister under his nose. But all the restrictions are only for Sanatanis and Sanatan Dharma. The way the order banning firecrackers was made a mockery of yesterday is undoubtedly shameful.
