Lucknow. The legislature has ended from the Mau seat of Abbas Ansari, son of Mukhtar Ansari, who was popularly known as Mafia don. The Assembly Secretariat on Sunday sent information about the vacancy of Mau seat by opening office and vacationing. Abbas Ansari won the Mau Assembly seat 2022 on the ticket of Om Prakash Rajbhar’s party Subhaspa in the 2022 UP assembly elections. Then there was an alliance between Subhaspa and SP. Later Om Prakash Rajbhar again came with BJP and now Yogi Adityanath is a minister in the government.
Abbas Ansari was convicted on Saturday by the MP/MLA court of Mau on the statement threatening the officers of the administration. Also, the court was convicted by the court under Section 120-B for conspiring to Abbas Ansari. In both cases, Abbas Ansari was sentenced to a total of 2 years imprisonment. Because of which Abbas Ansari lost the legislative from Mau assembly seat. Abbas Ansari’s lawyers have said that they will challenge the Mau court’s decision in the Allahabad High Court. If the Allahabad High Court stays the Mau court’s decision, Abbas Ansari may get the legislative again. If there is no relief from the High Court, then Abbas Ansari’s lawyers are free to move to the Supreme Court.

Abbas Ansari gave a hate speech for the officers of the administration in a public meeting during the 2022 assembly elections. After which a case had filed a case against Abbas Ansari. In the same case, Abbas Ansari was found guilty by the court. Abbas Ansari’s father Mukhtar Ansari has died. Mukhtar Ansari also won the MLA from Mau seat several times. Mukhtar’s family has been dancing in Mau. So when Abbas Ansari contested from Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Subhaspa, he took the Mau seat to his name. Abbas Ansari’s uncle Afzal Ansari contested and won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Ghazipur on a SP ticket.
