About 2 months after the terrorist attack, the tourist destination of Jammu and Kashmir, including Pahalgam, opened again

Several parks, including some parks in Pahalgam in the tourist destinations of Jammu and Kashmir, were closed after the April 22 terrorist attack, which was reopened on Tuesday.

The reopening of the parks has been welcomed by tourists and local visitors, who gathered in the parks at many places. He informed that security personnel have been deployed around the parks, so that the areas can be protected and a sense of security can be created among the people.

26 people were killed by terrorists at Basaron Maidan in Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination, most of whom were tourists.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha ordered the reopening of 16 parks on Saturday-eight-eight parks in Jammu region and Kashmir Valley. He said that these parks would be opened in a phased manner.

In the first phase, eight parks were re -opened in the Kashmir Valley. Parks near the Valley and Pahalgam market in Pahalgam, Verinag, Kokernag and goodbal garden in Anantnag district, Dak Park near Badamwari Park, Duck Park near Nigin and Takdir Park near Hazratbal in Srinagar were reopened again on Tuesday.

Similarly, eight destinations were reopened in the Jammu region, including Sarthal and Dhaggar in Kathua, Devipindi in Reasi, Siyad Baba and Sula Park, Guldanda in Doda and Jai Valley in Doda and Pancheri in Udhampur.

Officials said that a large number of school children welcomed tourists at Verinag Park, famous in Anantnag, South Kashmir. A tourist from Patiali, Punjab told PTI video, “We were already feeling good and happy to come here, but the park was re -opened and the reception we received is very good.”

Barkat Ali, a tourist from Bikaner region of Rajasthan, said, “We are happy that this park is open after so many days. We have come here with our families and we will visit the park to show them beautiful Kashmir.”

Another tourist from Punjab said, “This is a wonderful feeling and experience. We heard that the park is opening again today, so we came. But the reception we received is really the best experience that we cannot say in words.”

He appealed to tourists to come to Kashmir in large numbers. Tourist police personnel were also deployed to help visitors. Local MLA Ghulam Ahmed Mir also welcomed to reopen the park.
