The National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams are raiding 25 places in Tamil Nadu based on the important lead on ISIS Terror Module. According to sources, a search operation is being conducted in the capital Chennai and Mayiladuturai districts. In 2023, these raids are being seen as a link to the investigation of the blast in Coimbatore.
Why action is being taken?
According to information received from sources, the name of Arabic Language Center has come out in the NIA investigation. And in Tamil Nadu, the NIA is conducting raids on different locations of people associated with this center to find out what they have relations with foreign terrorist organizations.
NIA action in Jammu and Kashmir too
In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams are raiding 6 different places in the terrorist conspiracy case. NIA is conducting raids in Srinagar, Budgam and Sopore. According to the information, this case of terrorist conspiracy was registered last year. The PTI quoted officials as saying that the NIA has raided the houses of three persons named Javed Ahmed Sheikh, AR Shalla and Nisar Ahmed in a case related to terrorism.
NIA team can go to America
On the other hand, sources quoted that a team of NIA may soon go to America. Actually, this journey of NIA is going to be to finalize the formalities of the extradition of Tahwavur Rana. India is looking for Tawwur Rana for involvement in the 26/11 terror attack case in Mumbai.
