Mumbai Samajwadi Party had announced its withdrawal from Maharashtra’s Mahavikas Aghadi. On this, Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aditya Thackeray has now described Samajwadi Party as the ‘B’ team of BJP in Maharashtra. On the announcement of Samajwadi Party’s exit from Mahavikas Aghadi, Aditya Thackeray said that Akhilesh Yadav is fighting his battle, but in Maharashtra, Samajwadi Party sometimes behaves like the B team of BJP. Aditya Thackeray also gave his opinion on the issue of Hindutva. Aditya Thackeray said that our Hindutva is ‘Ram in the heart and work in the hands’. Our Hindutva is going to take everyone along.

In fact, on the occasion of December 6, MLC Milind Narvekar of Uddhav Thackeray faction had posted on social media praising the Babri demolition. Samajwadi Party got angry on this. Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra Chief Abu Asim Azmi had announced that his party will no longer be a part of Mahavikas Aghadi. Abu Asim Azmi also said in an interview that one party hurts the religious sentiments of others by congratulating people for the demolition of Babri Masjid. In such a situation, it is useless to be a part of the alliance. Abu Azmi had said that Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT has adopted the path of Hindutva. Because of this we had to take the decision to separate from Mahavikas Aghadi. Now it is clear from Aditya Thackeray’s statement that he is not in favor of giving importance to Samajwadi Party in Maharashtra.
Abu Azmi was enraged by the social media post of Uddhav’s party MLC on Babri demolition.
In fact, even before the Maharashtra elections, there was a tussle going on between Mahavikas Aghadi and Samajwadi Party regarding seat sharing. Even then Abu Azmi had said that if Samajwadi Party did not get more seats, then it would contest on 25 assembly seats. However, later Samajwadi Party fought only on fewer seats and like other parties of Mahavikas Aghadi, it too had to face defeat at many places. He could win only 2 seats.
