The doors of the world famous Badrinath Temple located in the high Garhwal Himalayan region of Uttarakhand were again opened to the devotees after six months closed.
As part of the predetermined schedule, the doors of the temple located in Chamoli district at six in the morning were opened in the presence of thousands of devotees from India and abroad with the duly worshiped between the Vedic chanting.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit president Mahendra Bhatt and Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyay were also present on the occasion.
During the opening of the kapat, the entire atmosphere was filled with dhol-nagaras and the melodious tune of the army band and the shouts of the devotees present in thousands of devotees present with the shouts of ‘Jai Badri Vishal’.
On this occasion, the temple was decorated grandly with about 15 tons of colorful and aromatic flowers, which added beauty to the temple.
Earlier, as per tradition, special worship was performed in the temple by Rawal, Dharmadhikari and Vedas, the chief priest of Badrinath Dham, and then by law, Goddess Lakshmi was evacuated from the sanctum sanctorum and sits in the Lakshmi temple by revolving around the temple. After this Lord Kubera ji and Uddhav ji were enthroned in the womb of Badri Vishal temple.
Thereafter, Ghrit blanket was separated from the quadrilateral idol of Lord Badri Vishal and he was duly consecrated (bathing) and attractive adornment.
Along with the main temple, Ganesh, Ghantakarna, Adi Kedareshwar, Adi Kedreshwar, Adi Guru Shankaracharya Temple and Mata Murti Temple at the main temple have also been opened for devotees for this journey.
According to beliefs, six months (summer) humans in a year worship Lord Vishnu, while the rest of the six months (winter) here the gods himself worship Lord Vishnu, in which the chief priest Devarshi Narada is.
Officials said here that the local administration has completed all the necessary preparations to make Dham’s visit safe and uninterrupted.
The administration has appealed to all the devotees who arrived for darshan to be systematically queuing up peacefully and visiting Srihari in a peaceful manner.
With the opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham, this year’s Chardham Yatra has started completely. Three other Dham-Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath have already been opened.
