Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the National Conference (NC) Farooq Abdullah on Sunday expressed disappointment over the silence of Muslim countries against the US attacks against Iran and the ongoing struggle between Israel and Iran.

Farooq Abdullah said, “I am disappointed that the Muslim world is silent. Iran is in this situation today, but tomorrow America will destroy them. If they do not wake up today they will have to wait for their turn.” He further said that he believes that he would not leave its ambitions despite the attacks. Comparing Karbala, the leader of the National Conference said that Iran “will not bow”.

Farooq Abdullah said, “If they think Iran will give up its ambition, they are in misunderstanding. Iran remembers Karbala and thinks that it is the second Karbala. Their necks will be cut, but they will not bow down.”

Farooq Abdullah further said, “… They want to change power there (in Iran) – will things be better after the change of power? America and Israel have long believed that they will not allow Iran to be made nuclear weapons, but if they think that Iran will give up its ambitions, they are misunderstood …”
