New Delhi. Important news has come about the fire warriors who are protecting the country by joining all three branches of the army. The media has quoted Air Force Chief AP Singh as saying that the Modi government is considering making more than 25 percent of Agniveers permanent in the army. According to reports, the Modi government has sought information from the chiefs of the three armies whether they can make more than 25 percent of Agniveers permanent or not? The Air Force Chief has said that the three army chiefs will soon give their opinion in this regard to the government. In such a situation, it is believed that the government may take a decision in the coming time regarding making Agniveer permanent.
Talking about the number of Agniveers, after the introduction of Agneepath scheme in 2022, 50,000 have been recruited in the three armies. The work of recruiting more fire warriors is going on continuously. Army recruitment had stopped during the Corona period. Due to this, many posts of soldiers are vacant. Regarding the Agniveer Recruitment Scheme, the opposition has been continuously attacking the Modi government that it is joining the youth with the army only for 4 years and wants to save pension. At the same time, PM Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh say that the opposition is serving lies to the public on the Agniveer scheme and this scheme was brought to make the army young.
According to the rules made by the Modi government for the recruitment of Agniveer, only 25 percent were to be made permanent in the army. Many voices were raised against this also. After this, Modi government and all the state governments announced that they will recruit the retiring Agniveer in the central paramilitary forces and police. Now, if a decision is taken to make more than 25 percent of Agniveers permanent in the army itself, then it will be an important decision for their future. Agniveer, who joined the army in 2022, is to retire in 2026.
