Five days after the Air India aircraft accident in Ahmedabad, 135 dead have been identified through DNA matching so far and the bodies of 101 people have been handed over to their families. Officials gave this information on Tuesday.

Officials are investigating DNA to identify the dead, as many people were scorched in the plane crash on June 12 that their bodies cannot be identified.
Dr. Rakesh Joshi, Medical Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, told reporters, “DNA samples of 135 people have been matched till Tuesday morning and the bodies of 101 people have been handed over to their families. In these 101 dead, five people were not riding on the plane. ”He said that these 101 people were residents of different parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Rajasthan and Diu.
Joshi hoped that the process of DNA matching of all the dead would be completed by Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, at 1.39 pm on Thursday, crashed the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft in a medical college campus in Ahmedabad shortly after flying from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. Of the 242 people aboard this aircraft going to London, only one passenger survived.
