Superintendent of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital Rakesh Joshi said on Thursday that 211 DNA samples of those killed in Air India 171 accident have been matched, further said that other samples are being verified.
He also said that the administration is trying its best and the families will be requested to take the remains as soon as the report of DNA samples arrives.
Joshi told ANI, “211 (DNA) samples have been matched. All other samples are being verified … The administration is trying its best. As soon as the report comes, families will be called immediately. We do not want to waste even a minute. We are here to help families.”

In a post on Instagram, Vikrant expressed condolences to the victims and their families and revealed that Clive was the first officer of the unfortunate AL 171 aircraft who crashed only a few minutes after flying from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
He expressed grief, saying, “It was more sad to know that my uncle Clifford Kunder lost his son Clive Kunder, who was the first officer in that unfortunate flight. God should strengthen you and your family, uncle and all the affected people.”
Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who was going to London on June 12, crashed in the hostel premises of the BJ Medical College in Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat shortly after flying from the International Airport. Out of 242 people aboard the aircraft died in this accident, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
