Air India aircraft flew for Vienna, 'Don't Sink' stirred by warning

Air India flight AI 171, just 38 hours after the painful accident in Ahmedabad, another shocking incident occurred, which has now been reported. Air India’s Boeing 777 flight AI 187, which flew from Delhi to Vienna on 14 June 2025, faced serious problems during the flight. In the climbing phase of the flight amid bad weather, the aircraft found “stick shaker” and “dont sync” warnings, as well as a stall warning, resulting in a height of 900 feet.

The pilots controlled the situation and stabilized the aircraft and safely completed the flying to Vienna. However, both the pilots were suspended after the incident, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India has started investigating the matter. The initial post-flight report lacked significant information about the incident, which made the investigation more complicated.

The incident took place at a time when Air India flight in Ahmedabad AI 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed in Ahmedabad, in which more than 260 people lost their lives. This latest incident has raised questions on the safety of Air India and Boeing aircraft. Experts say bad weather and potential technical faults may be caused by this phenomenon. DGCA has assured a detailed investigation into the matter to prevent such incidents in future.

Air India issued a statement saying that the safety of passengers is their priority, and they are cooperating fully in the investigation. The incident has launched a debate about security standards in the aviation industry.
