New Delhi. In the plane accident case in Ahmedabad, now Air India has also announced compensation for the families of the deceased. Interim payment of Rs 25 lakh to the family of the deceased will be made as financial assistance by the company. This amount will be in addition to 1 crore declared by Tata Sons. On the other hand, officials of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital said that 11 bodies have been identified after DNA testing of the dead. The process of handing over these bodies to their families has also been started. As the DNA samples of the dead will match their family, the dead body will be given to the relatives.

Air India CEO and MD Campbell Wilson said that we will continue to help and support the victim families. I went to the accident site and met the deceased families and assured them that the company is standing in solidarity with them in this hour of grief. Our condolences are with the afflicted families. Wilson said that Air India is also taking steps in the process of completing the precautionary security check on Boeing Dreamliner aircraft. The security check of Boeing 787 aircraft will be done as per DGCA instructions. He also said that the security check of all the aircraft will be completed within the time limit fixed by the DGCA.

Let us tell you that the Central Government has constituted an inquiry committee under the leadership of the Union Home Secretary to investigate the Ahmedabad aircraft accident. This inquiry committee will submit its report in 3 months. The black box of the aircraft is also being decoded. Meanwhile, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge also reached Ahmedabad today. Here he expressed condolences to the families of the plane accident and wished the injured to recover early.
