The ‘Air India’ aircraft going to London crashed shortly after flying from Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday afternoon, with 242 passengers and crews. The aircraft crashed in the Meghani Nagar area near Ahmedabad Airport, causing a fire in the local area and blowing black smoke. Rescue and relief work is going on at the scene and the injured have been rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah inquired from Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel about the Ahmedabad plane crash. He also assured all possible help from the central government.
According to the information, hospitals have been alerted immediately after the accident and the doctors have been canceled. Currently, all flights have been postponed from Ahmedabad Airport.
Police, fire brigade and ambulance teams reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported and rescue work was started. The injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad with the help of stretcher. The administration has diverted traffic with immediate effect.
