New Delhi. The preliminary investigation report related to the Air India aircraft accident in Ahmedabad on June 12 has been submitted to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the officials concerned. The Air Accident Investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) has prepared this report based on preliminary information raised after the accident. However, the information about what is in this report has not been made public. It is expected that it may take three months to give AAIB to give a final report. News agency ANI has given this information quoting sources as saying.

Let us tell you that Air India flight number AI171, which flew from Ahmedabad to London, crashed soon after the takeoff. 274 people were killed in this tragic accident, out of which 241 people were riding on the plane while 33 were residents of BJ Medical College resident doctors and medical staff. In fact, after the takeoff, there was a crashed over the building of the plane BJ Medical College hostel. Only one person aboard the plane was left alive. Former Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was also riding on the plane and he is also among the dead.

The bodies of all the dead were so burnt so that DNA samples had to be matched with their families to identify them. Both Air India and Tata Group have announced compensation for the victims. After much effort, the black box of the aircraft was recovered, although due to being in a very damaged situation, it is having trouble decoding it. After the takeoff, the pilot reported the Emergency to the ATC. When the ATC tried to contact the pilot, there was no response from there and the plane crashed.
