Air India said on Thursday that it will reduce flights on various international routes per week and temporarily suspend operations on three routes from June 21 to July 15, 2025.
The incident took place on June 12, about a week after the AL-171 aircraft accident in Ahmedabad, Gujarat with a Boeing 787 aircraft.
The airline said in a post on X, “In addition to the press statement issued on 18 June 2025, in which temporary cuts in services operated by Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft were announced, we want to provide details about the affected flights. These deductions will be effective from 21 June 2025, and will continue till at least 15 July 2025.”
It states, “This deduction is due to the decision to extend a voluntary flight security check, as well as adjusting the additional flight period generated by the aircraft shutdown in the Middle East. It aims to restore stability in the schedule and reduce the inconvenience of passengers at the last-time.”
It further states, “The details of the affected flights are as follows: 1. 15 July 2025 suspended route:- Delhi-Narobi (A. 1961/962)- 4x Weekly Flights- Amritsar-London (Gatwick) (A1669/170)- 3x Weekly Flights- Goa (Mopa)- London (Gatwick)- 3X
The airline said, “Low-frequent route by 15 July 2025: North America-Delhi-Toronto: Weekly will decrease from 13x to weekly 7x.-Delhi-Vankuvar: Weekly 7x will decrease from 7X to weekly 5x.-Delhi-San-San Francisco: Weekly 10x will decrease from 10x to weekly 7x: Delhi-Shaikago: Delhi-Shaikago: Delhi-Shaikago: Delhi-Shaikago. The weekly will be 3x. – Delhi -Washington (Dales): Weekly will be reduced from 5X to weekly 3x. “

The airline said, “*suspended till June 30. ** will operate 3 times a week from June 21 to July 5 and 4 times a week from July 6 to July 15.”
It states, “Air India apologizes to the affected passengers, and contacting the affected passengers to provide them in alternative flights as per their choice, can be renovated free of cost or offer full money refund.”
On June 12, Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which went to London, was flying from the International Airport in Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad, Gujarat shortly after flying from the International Airport. Crashed in the hostel premises of the medical college.
In the accident, 241 out of 242 people aboard the aircraft lost their lives, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
