Delhi Airport officials said on Sunday that the aircraft operating is normal, but some flights may be affected due to the changing landscape of the airspace and the safety check process may take longer than before.
In view of the tension between India and Pakistan, security arrangements at airports were increased, which is still in force.
India and Pakistan agreed to stop all types of shells and military action on land, air and sea on Saturday.
‘Delhi International Airport Limited’ (DIAL) posted a post on ‘X’ and said, “The operation of aircraft at the Delhi base continues normally. However, some flights may be affected due to the changing landscape and increased airspace and safety check may take longer than before. ”
DIAL operates the country’s busiest airport Indira Gandhi International Airport located in Delhi.
The DIAL has advised passengers to take extra time for safety check and cooperate with the aviation company and security personnel for smooth facilities.
Generally, the airport handles the movement of about 1,300 flights per day.
