New Delhi. The Congress had distributed seats from Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi during the Lok Sabha elections, but now the assembly elections are being held in Delhi, then the Congress is contesting against its ally. Not only this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi continued to target Arvind Kejriwal in public meetings. After all, why did the distances increase in a few months between Congress and Arvind Kejriwal? This has been revealed by Ajay Maken, a Rajya Sabha MP of Congress and close to Rahul Gandhi, in an interview with news agency ANI.
Ajay Maken told ANI that Congress had a conversation with Arvind Kejriwal for an election alliance in Delhi. Earlier, in the Haryana assembly elections, Arvind spoke to Arvind Kejriwal for an agreement on seats. In Haryana, Arvind Kejriwal was seeking 6 seats instead of 4. Ajay Maken said that on this, it was said by the Congress that they would talk to the local leaders and decide on it. The Congress MP said that Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail, and unilaterally announced the Aam Aadmi Party candidates to contest all the 90 seats in Haryana. Then Arvind Kejriwal did the same in Delhi too. Ajay Maken said that the Aam Aadmi Party has stabbed the Congress back.
Regarding not getting support from the Indi alliance parties in the Delhi Assembly elections, Ajay Maken said that we talked to all the parties of our alliance, but no solution was found. The Congress leader said that we asked the parties of coalition to remain neutral, but it did not happen. The coalition parties did not listen and Arvind stood with Kejriwal’s party. It is clear from Ajay Maken’s statement that everything is not good in the Indy alliance. Let me tell you that when the Congress lost the assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra, there were voices in its opposition by the Indie alliance. Mamta Banerjee had said that she is ready to take charge of the alliance. Uddhav Thackeray was also seen standing in favor of Mamta Banerjee along with Lalu Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Arvind Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav.
